The Blush Tag

1. Best packaging
Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush Palette Color Wheel (Holiday 2016)
I had never tried Tarte’s Amazonian Clay Blush formula before.  I thought this was a pretty ingenious way to fit more into less packaging.  I use a separate mirror; so, it doesn’t bother me that there is no mirror.

2. Prettiest color
It Cosmetics Ombre Radience in Sugar Plum
This is kind of an odd question for a makeup addict.  "Prettiest Color" is contingent on what makeup it's been worn with, skin tone etc.
So, I’m calling this the prettiest color based on how it looks in the pan – it’s ombre and has shimmer and is a pretty mauve color..

3. Most pigmented
Coastal Scents Forever Blush
I had heard of these blushes; but, it wasn't until I heard emilynoel83 of YouTube talk about them that I got some.  She was right.  These blushes are PIGMENTED and they last!.  I would say, if you're on a budget and want a blush that you're not going to have to replace very quickly -- this is it!

4. Everyday blush
Cherry Custard by Laura Geller
I don’t have an everyday blush.  But, I thought of what I would reach for if I was in a hurry.  The answer would be Cherry Custard by Laura Geller, which is in the Baked Color and Contour Palette.  The fact that there’s a contour and highlight in the palette makes it very easy to use when I’m in a hurry.

5. Party blush
Makeup Revolution Blush Queen Palette
I'm not sure what a "Party blush" is supposed to be.  Again, it all depends on what I'm doing with the rest of my makeup.  I would probably put something with a touch or shimmer on.  In that spirit, I will say the Makeup Revolution Blush Queen palette which is a palette of eight shimmery blushes.  No matter what I decide to do with my makeup for a party there will be something in there for me.

6. Regret purchasing (Two Answers)
e.l.f. Blush (A bunch of them)
YouTubers would rave about these blushes -- how pigmented they are, how beautiful the colors look on the skin.  I bought mine during a sale a few years ago and was severely disappointed.  Mine were so NOT pigmented.  The quad blushes that sell for $6 work just fine; but, the single ones, never work for me.

Cream or Liquid blushes
I like cream and liquid blushes.  However, I have so much makeup that cream and liquid formulas just sit there and go bad.

7. Least used
NARS Exhibit A
This probably doesn't need any explanation.  It looked beautiful in the packaging. There is something about red -- eyeshadow, lipstick, nailpolish that captivates me. It is usable with an ultra light touch.  I think it's the inconvenience of having to be so careful with it that puts me off from using it.

8. Most used
Morphe Brushes 9N Palette

This is easy to grab for.  The blushes are easy to wear -- especially with the bolder eyes and lips of today.  And they are good quality!

8.1 would never let go of.
My two Kat Von D Shade and Light blushes
These were out on the market for a hot minute.  I managed to get my hands on two of them before they disappeared from the market permanently.  I have Piaf/Poe and Bonnie/Clyde.  I wanted Morticia/Gomez; but, alas, it was not to be.

9. Favorite blush brand
None At The Moment
I don’t know that I have a favorite blush brand at the moment.  I suppose if Kat Von D or even Black Moon Cosmetics were to release some, I would probably be in love with those.
My requirements, now, are:
Cruelty free
Have pigmentation
Have a color I like
Don’t be chalky.

10. Greatest blush discovery of the year
Kat Von D Shade and Light blush
I really liked them and wanted more.  But, like I said, it was not to be.  I was fortunate enough to get my hot hands on two of them.

11. Most practical
Cherry Custard by Laura Geller
(See #4)

12. Least practical
NARS Exhibit A
(See #7)

13. Most expensive
Becca Beach Tint Shimmer Souffle in Guava Moonstone
I think at the time I bought my NARS blushes, they were still around $25.  These are $27.  I love that there's a bit of shimmer in them.

14. Least expensive  (Single blushes)
Nyx HD Blush Amber
As I don't have my e.l.f blushes anymore, Nyx HD blush at $6.99, is my least expensive.

15. Longest Wearing
Coastal Scents Forever Blush
(See #3)

16. Best Blush Palette
Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush Palette Color Wheel (Holiday 2016)
Not only are these great blushes; but, I love how they fit ten of them into a very compact space by using both sides of the compact.  There are warms, cools and even a highlighter and bronzer shade in here.

2016 May - July Empties!!!

Left to Right:
Mr. Bubble:  (LOL) This is an OLD bottle.  It's probably around 5 years old.  I think I couldn't find anything else at the time.
Dr. Woods Tea Tree Castille Soap:  A staple of mine.  I love it when I'm feeling oily.  I love it for its deodorizing properties as well.
Nubian Heritage Patchouli and Buriti Body Wash:  I love this body wash.  When I initially used this body wash, I didn't smell much in terms of patchouli.  More of a spicy woodsy scent.  Then I would notice that I smelled a little of patchouli hours later.  A few days later, the bathroom smelled wonderfully of patchouli!  Probably some of the oils being left behind on the washcloth and the shower area itself.
Nubian Heritage Coconut & Papaya Body Wash: Another one of my staples.  This moisturizes and brightens the skin.  When my brightening face & body bar runs out, I will sometimes use this in place of my face wash.
Nubian Heritage Goat Milk & Chai Bodywash:  A wonderfully gentle and spicy scented body wash.  It has a "cheerful" smell to me.  This and the Patchouli and Buriti are my 2nd favorites after the Coconut and Papaya from the Nubian Heritage line.
Caress Passionate Spell Bodywash: As I've said before I love, love, love the way this smells -- but unless Caress goes cruelty free, I will not be buying this anymore.  Wah!  There are too many wonderful cruelty free brands like Nubian & Dr. Woods to justify my buying this at this point in time.

The Body Shop Body Butter in Satsuma Orange, Pink Grapefruit and Passionfruit:  Once upon a time, I went crazy buying The Body Shop body butters.  I convinced myself that I would use them.  By, that, I mean use them in the conventional way.  Except I still don't like the feeling of cream or lotion all over my skin.  Body butters are now relegated to my shower to be used for shaving or mixing with my bodywash for extra moisture.  I finally finished these three.  I think I have another 4 or 5 to go.  Yikes!!!

The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Mist:  I actually liked this a lot.  It was nice and light.  I probably won't be buying it again anytime soon as I have a HUGE years old bottle of 4711 to finish up (my other light summer fragrance that I can spray liberally).

CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser:  I love mixing this on my Clarisonic with my favorite brightening soap.  I also like using this on a mild scrubbie cloth to help take off makeup in the shower.  I have a couple more to go through.
Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel:  I liked this; but, I wasn't in love with it.  The smell kind of reminded me of the Herbal Essence shampoo from the 70's and 80's.

MAC Pre +Prime Fix + (Cucumber scented, I believe):  Good stuff  and great packaging but unless M.A.C. decides to go cruelty free again, I will not be buying their products.
Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation:  As you can see, this is a travel size.  I got this as part of the Three Little Wonders set that also came with the African Red Tea Foaming Cleanser that I got in June.  I really enjoyed the face cream.  It was light and helped keep my pores clear.  When I use up a few more of my skin care items, I think I will purchase a full sized one.
Majestic Pure Cosmeceuticals Vitamin C 20% Serum: This was inexpensive.  Got this from Amazon.  I actually still have a little left -- it's in another bottle.  I got tired of using the dropper and started decanting it into a smaller glass pump bottle.  It's a really light serum that I mix in with moisturizers.

Proclaim Argan Hot Oil:  I had actually used a lot more than the two bottles.  I have been using this stuff since 2011.  I wait for them to go on sale before I buy them.  For me, there's no need to actually heat it up.  I used to use 1/3 of a bottle.  But, lately, my hair is so long that I tend to use the whole bottle. I haven't had to use it that much since using Matrix's Oil Wonder's shampoo -- which actually kind of reminds me of a sudsy version of this.

Joico K-Pak Revitaluxe:  Surprisingly, I didn't care for this that much.  I worked okay for me.  Nothing for me to write home about.  The thing I objected to the most was the smell.  It seemed to have an underlying tabacco smell.  Ewww!
Avalon Organics Thickening Conditioner Biotin B-Complex Therapy:  I do like this conditioner.  It's not as "conditioning" as my Oil Wonders conditioner.  But it's great when my skin is going through an oily phase.  I also sometimes put this on my scalp and use Oil Wonders on the rest of my hair.
MAC Paint Pot Painterly:  I liked this.  I used every bit of this up. I will not be buying another one unless MAC goes cruelty free again.

Physician's Formula Nude Wear gift set:  I tried, with this palette.  I wasn't enamored with any of the products and wouldn't buy them separately.  I really did not like the blush.  I wasn't very pigmented at all.  This might be okay for someone who has very pale skin; but, not for me.
BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector™ Spotlight Trio Opal:  I finally used those up.  I really liked mixing them with my foundation -- especially Kat Von D's Lock It foundation.  It helped thin the foundation out when I wanted less coverage; and, it helped lessen the matteness of the foundation.
BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector™ Spotlight Trio Champagne Gold: (See description above.)
Urban Decay mini Eyeshadow Primer Potion:  I got this as part of a gift a while back from a friend.  This works just fine.  I personally prefer thicker eye primers -- to work with more unusual colors.

Maybelline Lash Sensation Mascara:  I actually liked this.  But, I will not buy this again unless Maybelline goes cruelty free.
Jordana Best Lash Extreme Mascara: I liked this mascara.  I heard about this from Young Wild and Polished on YouTube.  This volumizes and lengthens and holds the curl pretty good.
Maybelline Lash Stiletto Mascara: This did not hold a curl on my lashes.  I only used this a few times.  Wouldn't not repurchase anyway unless they go cruelty free.
Estee lauder Little Black Primer: This helped my lashes hold a curl.  This looked great under other mascaras and by itself for a more natural look.  Alas -- yes, alas, Estee Lauder is not cruelty free.  I will not buy this again unless the go cruelty free.
Loreal Voluminous Original:  This one was good.  I wasn't wowed by it.  Nor was I disappointed in it.  L'oreal, however, is not cruelty free.

Colour Pop Brow Pencil In Dope Taupe:  I liked the color and the way this went on.  I thought it rubbed off a little too easily.  My big issue with this, however was, despite their being more product in it than my BH Cosmetics HD Brow Pencil, I reached the bottom faster than my BH HD Brow Pencil.  Part of this is due to the fact that the pencil is so soft it breaks easily even when the "lead" is hardly up.  (Sigh!)
BH Cosmetics HD Brow Pencil:  This has been my go to micro brow pencil.  I have tried Anastasia's (which is good), and I have tried NYX's micro brow pencil -- which is decent but doesn't not seem to go on as easily as my BH Cosmetics one. I was hoping I'd like the NYX one better, because, if there's a BOGO sale at ULTA, it comes out cheaper than my BH one because of the amount of product.  But, I will stick with BH.

Flora Udo's Choice Super 8 Hi-Potency Probiotic: I have found probiotics to be a must in my current life.  Between the antibiotics we received throughout our life and the bad food we eat throughout our life, this is necessary to help maintain a good balance.  I have really liked the UDO's Choice Super 8.

August 2016 Favorites -- Jewelry Home & More!

  1. H.P. Lovecraft - The Complete Fiction (Barnes & Noble Leather Bound):  I had been trying to collect some of the B&N Leather Bound books.  I hadn't really read H.P. Lovecraft and was intrigued. I am reading one of the stories for my Book Club: ADHD Style -- Intro.
  2. WheatStateVintage (Etsy) - Vintage 1950s Smith Corona Super Speed (typewriter):  This is part of my oddities collection that is going on my shelf.  I love it!!!  I don't think it's functional; but, I have no desire to use a manual typewriter. Having used typewriters and pain-in-the-butt word processors,  I have thanked my lucky stars, often, at the invention of MS Word.
  3. BBC - Ripper Street:  I love this show.  It takes place in Whitechapel during the dingy, grodie side of the Victorian Era.
  4. Sourpuss Clothing (Amazon) Anatomical Ribs Pillow: I saw this & #6 on Instagram's alternative.outfits.ideas (I think). I loved the way they looked and had to have them.  I was so glad when I found them on Amazon.
  5. Ransom Riggs - Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children Boxed Set:  These covers had intrigued me since I first saw them in a bookstore a few years ago.  I forgot all about them; then, the book popped up in Amazon after I searched for some other books.  I was, again, intrigued, and clicked on the book to see reviews etc.  I then discovered they were making a movie about the books.  I figured, if I was going to get them, the time was now, before the book covers changed to match the movie.
  6. Inked Boutique (Amazon) Sourpuss Anatomical Heart Pillow:  (See #4.)
  7. E-CLING (Amazon) Scotch Magic Tape Dispenser (Black Kitty):  I couldn't resist getting this when I saw this on Amazon.  It reminded me so much of our kitten Luna!!!
  8. Modern Vase & Gift (Amazon)- CYS® Apothecary Jar, H-13" - Candy Buffet Jar:  I had been wanting some apothecary jars to decorate my office shelf with and I found this and the jar below.  I have not filled them yet; but, at least one of them should be filled in a week or two.
  9. Modern Vase & Gift (Amazon)- Apothecary Jar, H-14.75" - Candy Buffet Container: (See #8)
  10. BBC - Peaky Blinders:  I wanted to see this show ever since I heard about it on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.  The problem was, I did not have Netflix and was not going to subscribe just to see one show.  I patiently waited for DVDs to be available in the United States.  One fortuitous evening, my hubby and I happened to be walking around in Target and I saw the first season of Peaky Blinders on their shelf for less than $10!!! As I suspected, I loved it & now also have the second season.

Book Club: ADHD Style -- Intro

I have heaps of unread books on my shelf.  They've gone the wayside with the purchase of my Kindle.  Actually, they'd gone the wayside far before that.  I had a habit of collecting books.  There was a time when I treasured buying books more than I treasured buying makeup or jewelry.  I just loved buying them. The intention was always to read them; but, well...ADHD, distractions, busy lifestyle.  (Sigh!)

There was a time, when Coco and I lived in our little brownstone studio in Downtown Seattle, that I was on a quest to find books that Marilyn Monroe had read (per other books and websites).  There was also a time when I was on a quest to find every book mentioned in the Bombshell Library section of The Bombshell Manual of Style.   I may very well visit some of these, in the future.

The first books/stories I've chosen, however, are newer purchases. Nevertheless, I felt they were a good place to start.

I had never read anything of Lovecrafts before.  I decided to give it a try.  I first set about flipping through the pages, trying to see if there were any illustrations.  The child in me wanted to see some pictures!  LOL Alas, there were none.

I just happened to leave the book open to Beyond The Wall of Sleep.  The very first sentence caught my attention with its poetic nature.  I plan to read this story as one of my first book club endeavors.

This is a must read for me.  As someone with ADHD and clinical depression, it is easy to let negative emotions get the best of me, or feel overwhelmed.  I have this both as a book on my Kindle as well as in Audio Book form.  This is my non-fiction choice.

Since I write poetry every now and then, I thought, it would probably be good to have a book of poetry as one of my first choices. In the past I was not inclined to buy poetry; but,  I read some of Blood Milk Jewelry's blogs and this book stood out to me.  I got this a few months ago, so this would be an excellent first choice for a poetry book.

Having a variety to read per "session" should help my ADHD brain when I feel inclined to "change subjects" on a whim.

I will provide an update next week as to my progress; and, what I think of what I'm reading.

Here we go!

August 2016 Favorites -- Beauty & Bath

  1. Laura Geller Balance-N-Brighten Foundation: (Shopped my stash.)  I used this about a year ago.  I stopped using it because the shade I have -- Medium became way too dark for me.  This worked really well for me this summer.  If it got too dark, I mixed it with my It Cosmetics Celebration Foundation Illumination in Light.  I find that I like the finish of the Laura Geller foundation better than It Cosmetics.  The finish looks more natural.
  2. e.l.f. Sunkissed Glow Bronzer in Sunkissed:  I got this free, along with a few other items with one of my e.l.f. orders.  I was blown away by how much I liked this bronzer!  It looks natural, and is light enough for fairer skin.
  3. Hard Candy Baked "Bronzer" in Tiki: (Shopped my stash.) I've had this for about two years.  I started using it again.  It's finely milled, and great for those days when I want a highlighter that's not uber shimmery but I still want shimmer.
  4. Sedona Lace Wanderlust Brush Set: These look like Real Techniques' higher end brushes.  I don't own any so I cannot say whether they are exact dupes or not.  The handles are not metal.  I really like these brushes.  The large brush pats powder on fabulously.  The triangle brush blends concealer like a dream.  The smaller tapered brush is great for setting undereye concealer with powder.  The rectangular brush applies foundation well.  I've used the eye brushes interchangeably with my other eye brushes.
  5. TheBalm Meet Matt (e) Nude: (Shopped my stash.)  Who knew a nude palette could be so fun!  I started using this again when I couldn't find my Paula's Choice palette that I usually use with my Electric Palette.  The pans are big, the colors are nicely pigmented
  6. Zoya Amy + Butter London Saucy Jack + Revlon Parfumerie Autumn Spice = My own custom color that I like to call Sparkling Blood Orange.  (Shopped my stash.) I was looking for a rusty orangey red.  Then I realized I probably had enough polish that I didn't use to make the color that I wanted.  Yay!
  7. e.l.f. Selfie Ready Foundation Brush: (Shopped my stash.) I didn't quite love it for foundation; but, it really works well for concealer!
  8. e.l.f. Flawless Face Brush:  (Shopped my stash.) This is an excellent multi-tasting brush!  I've used this for contour, bronzing and patting powder on my face.
  9. Paula's Choice Resist BHA 9: (Shopped my stash!)  This is actually my third purchase of the BHA I stopped using this for a bit; and, took it up again when I started getting some hormonal acne.  Works really well for me!  I mix it with moisturizer.
  10. Paula's Choice Resist Vitamin C Spot Treatment: (Shopped my stash!)  I stopped using this in lieu of more liquidy Vit C serums.  I'm finding I really like adding this to the BHA 9 and moisturizer under makeup.
  11. PrettyLilMzGrace Eyeshadow Palette: (Shopped my stash.) I had this for a while before I used it.  It's really nicely pigmented.  I love that there are a few neutral colors to use with the brights!  The brush that comes with it is really nice quality as well!
9 our of 11 items were Shop My Stash items!!!

July 2016 -- Jewelry, Home & More

  1. Stone Temple Pilots: This has been more than just a July favorite.  It's actually been this whole year.  When Scott Weiland passed away on December 3,2015, I was really affected -- even though I didn't know his music very well (with the exception of a few songs).  I learned more about him and listened to more of his music; and, I've been hooked ever since.
  2. Hollywood Swank Upholstered Vanity and Mirror Crystal Croc:  This was my third wedding anniversary present from my hubby!!!  I had been admiring this for ages; and, have needed something with this much space for ages!!!  I will have to do a separate post about my vanity and its contents in the near future.
  3. The Antique Parlor (Etsy): Unusual Antique 1800's English Emerald SPRING GREEN Glass POISON Bottle & 1890's FERN GREEN Glass POISON Bottle:  I have a fascination with Victorian medicine and drugs.  I've wanted at least one Victorian poison bottle in my collection for a long time.  I just love them!!!  I
  4. Velvet Revolver:  (See #1)
  5. Big Bang Theory:  While my husband and I were in Maui, we brought along one or two of our Big Bang DVD seasons for when we were back in the hotel room.   hadn't watched them in eons and fell in love with them again.
  6. OPTP Slant:  Almost two and a half years ago, I fell in our back yard and somehow managed to sustain multiple fractures in my right ankle and a broken tibia.  I have no idea how something like that happens!!!  This piece of slanted foam helps me to increase the flexibility of my ankle and also helps to stretch the calf muscle and Achilles tendon.
  7. Ballet Beautiful/Ballet Body:  I started doing my ballet DVDs again -- I noticed that Mary Helen Bowers's cardio routines ,with their constant plies, really help my right ankle.

July 2016 Favorites -- Beauty & Bath

  1. Kat Von D Serpentina Eyeshadow Palette:  I couldn't not get this!  It's Kat Von D, had beautiful jewel tones and a color named after my favorite jewelry company -- Bloodmilk. The colors are wonderfully pigmented and gorgeous!
  2. Black Moon Cosmetics BLACK METAL TRINITY™ - Limited Edition Pack & Myth:  I had to get these as well.  Black Metal Trinity consists of (according to Black Moon's website):  Immortal: A blackened purple with flecks of purple and arctic blue. Armageddon : A blackened red with hints of copper.  Sorrow: A deep blackened blue with flecks of arctic blue. Then there is Myth: a blackened emerald green with hints of teal to really push this color to the next dimension. They're all BEAUTIFUL.  My two favorites are Armageddon (-- this is the most metallic red I have ever seen!  I was so impressed!!!) and Immortal -- just a gorgeous vampy metallic purple!
  3. Anastasia Beverly Hills - Glow Kit - Moon Child - I was practically salivating over this when I saw it!  Oddly enough, I think because they all came out around the same time, I kind of saw Serpentina, Black Moon's metallic lippies and the Moon Child palette as going together -- and they do, fabulously!!!  A really cool thing to do with this palette is to pair your eye look with the opposite color i.e. a red shadow and lip look with Lucky Clover's hint of green.  It's just beautiful!
  4. Laura Geller New York Baked Color & Contour Palette:  (Shopped my stash!)  Heard about this some months ago from emilynoel83.  I got it after I dropped my It Cosmetics face disk and broke it. (I had used most of the highlighter and I think hit pan on the bronzer.) When I first got this, I was afraid it was going to sit in my makeup drawer unused for the most part.  I had not yet discovered the beauty of Baked French Vanilla.  I don't use it as a cheek highlighter, I use it as an under eye brightener, and in general a middle of the face brightener.  I can also use the bronzer as a contour as it's not uber warm.   The blush has a hint of shimmer and is the most beautiful pinky coral color.  Overall I really love this a lot better than the It Cosmetics face disk.
  5. e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Smooth Matte Eyeshadow in Nude Linen:  I took a chance and got this from e.l.f.  I had a feeling it would work well for me as and eye primer -- and I was right!!!  This is also fabulous if you're going for a no-makeup-makeup look to even out the eyelids.
  6. DIY Cosmetic Containers - 26 MM 5 WELL BLACK PALLETTE, Makeup Geek Flamethrower, Coastal Scents Chamois Nude, Makeup Geek Cocoa Bear, Makeup Geek Bitten, Makeup Geek Cupcake: (Shopped my stash!)  I kept looking at Becca's Ombre Rouge Palette.  I came very close to purchasing it.  Then I remembered that I had an empty 5 pan palette, and some very similar single shadows.  I put Makeup Geek's Flamethower foiled shadow in there as I love shimmer on the lid.  I calculated it.  If I were to buy everything in lieu of getting Becca's Ombre Rouge palette, it would come out only a few dollars less.  But, adding the $40 Ombre Rouge palette when I already had colors like that didn't make sense for me.
  7. e.l.f. Prime & Stay Finishing Powder: (Shopped my stash!) I bought this months ago because of a the good reviews -- & for $2, why not?  I didn't really use this until I went on a trip. This powder minimized the look of my pores!  -- For $2!!!
  8. Essence Lash Princess Mascara - False Lash Effect: I heard about this from Young Wild And Polished.  This is a fabulous drugstore mascara! She seems to be the queen of finding really inexpensive kick-butt mascaras!!!
  9. MATRIX Oil Wonders Oil Conditioner:  Ulta was having a sale on their large bottles of hair care.  I decided to try this on a whim. I LOVE this!!!  It's not often I find a conditioner I love.  I have long fine hair that's DRY!!!  This conditions my hair beautifully!
  10. Sun Bum® 3 In 1 Leave In Hair Conditioning Treatment:  This was also on sale at Ulta.  I wanted to try this because it had SPF in it.  I thought it would be great for traveling.  OMG -- this stuff detangles like a dream!!!  A must for long hair!
  11. GOT 2B Glued Blasting Freeze Spray: I have a cowlick in my bangs that causes them to split.  I should have tried this sooner.  I haven't tried every brand of hair spray there is; but, this is the only brand I've tried that really works to keep my bangs in place.  I also use it to keep flyaways from forming when I tie my hair back before going out -- which is every day during summer.
5 out of 11 favorites were shop my stash items Yay!!!

June 2016 Favorites: Jewelry, Home & More!

  1. Palmistry Hand Sold by Atharva Products:  Part of my oddities collection that will go on a shelf with #3 & #5.
  2. The Fox and the Star by Bickford-Smith, Coralie:  I love foxes and I love beautifully bound and illustrated books.   It's a gorgeous little story about unlikely best friends.
  3. Sunflower Valley (Etsy) vintage bisque doll: Ever since I saw Grav3yard Girl showcasing "creepy baby dolls" on her chanel, I slowly became intrigued with the idea of having one or two or three.  I finally got one.  He is currently sitting in our living room.  After my office is redecorated, he will go on a shelf in there.
  4. Waring, Geoff: Oscar and the Cricket; Oscar and the Bird; Oscar and the Snail; Oscar and the Frog:  I got the rest of them.  They are such cute books!  I wish I had these when I was little!
  5. Prissy Antiques (Etsy) Porcelain L.N. Fowler Phrenology Scientific Psychology 12" Male Bust Head:  Part of my oddities collection.  It is curently sitting in the living room and looking quite good there but will end up in my office soon.  Yay!  This is actually also available on Amazon; but, since it was not new, I got it at a lower price.
  6. Dewi Designs (Etsy) Tribal Earrings, "Southwest Steer" Naturally Organic, Bone, Brass & Sterling Silver Hooks, Handcrafted:  Love these earrings!  I've gotten a lot of compliments on them, as well.  Very easy to wear as they are light weight.
  7. Fire Tablet, 7" Display, Wi-Fi, 16 GB - Includes Special Offers, Tangerine:  I needed a new one, as the one I had, which was at least 3 years old was cracked, losing a charge fairly quickly and was having issues with the volume.  This one is lighter weight than my first one.  The case I got for it is lighter weight as well.   I love actual books to display but I also love Kindles as I can have a whole library with me wherever I go.
  8. Wiccapedia: A Modern-Day White Witch's Guide by Robbins, Shawn:  Another beautiful book.  This is a somewhat petite hardbound book without a paper jacket.  I really love the decor on the spine.
